We need to measure the time to display the contact window in the dialer. For that we'll need to send one event to |window| that the performance test will be able to receive. - in the performance test, we trigger the display of the contact window (simulating a touch event for example) and we store the time - the app send an event when the contact window is displayed and ready to be manipulated. The event name can be "x-moz-perf-dialer-contact-ready". Of course, this test is useful if the phone contains a lot of contacts in its internal db.

This bug is out of date and we suspect that it's no longer valid. If you think this is in error, please reopen it. A lot of performance tooling has been included and enabled in the project, so this particular issue should not be a problem anymore.

I think this is still valid. There is no measurement for this use case: * launch Dialer * start measurement * tap "Contacts" tab * end measurement Please close it only if this measurement is useless.
