Search is confusing when you filter by time like "Last 7 days"

I wanted to search for a page I've visited "Yesterday" but it appears I can't.
The attached screenshot should demonstrates the problem.
1. I click on "Yesterday" and see a list of pages (less than one page long list)
2. I type in a search "wiki.mozilla"
3. I would expect it to search the intersection of this.

Yes, search doesn't respect time filters, it just searches through all of history or all of bookmarks.
The planned thing here is a better search page with decent filters. This is likely a dupe of many old bugs about it.

The view filters in History sidebar does well for this use case.
I heard similar use case from Wikipedia editors at Wikimania 2013 in Hong Kong. Here a comment from their talk pages:
"I know that Firefox has this weird quirk in that if you have visited a secure version of any website it will force that one to be the choice the next time you visit the site. You have to go into the browser history and delete every https version of the website and then it will fix itself. That being said, it's a real pain in the ass when some new change is made to the MediaWiki software and it's set as default on in preferences for already registered users.—Ryulong (琉竜) 06:28, 29 August 2013 (UTC) "

arky, your quote is not about this issue, it's probably bug 769994 which is fixed in FF23+. I don't know if this Ryulong guy has his browser up-to-date.
