Hi, this pages crashes mozilla when loading of it is done.
I tried loading it 4 times and it crashed every time, can someone try this with
a nightly build and do some more debugging? (sorry for not doing more work
myself but i'm on a slow modem and i
don't have the bandwidth/time/money to download a nighlty build and i don't want
to spend time debugging something that might have been fixed).
URL:
http://www.multi.fi/estonia/
Thanks.
I tested this with build 2001-06-01-04 under Win2k sp2 and was not able to
reproduce it. It loaded just fine, albeit somewhat slow because of the large
image (hehe).
Can you tell us the last thing it appears to be doing when it crashes? Is it
still loading the image, is it trying to reflow the page? It may just be that
the nightly build you have is bad, but the newest works.
I would say get a program such as Go!Zilla to help you download. On my modem, I
can get it in about 15-20 minutes, depending.

I tracked the bug down a little, it crashes on this code:
<embed SRC="http://www.multi.fi/estonia/amariagm.mid">
The status bar shows something like "Starting helper..." and then it crashes
directly after. I'm not exactly sure that's what it's showing since it crashes
so fast but something about starting helper.
I'm running redhat 7.1 with mozilla 0.9 rpm installation.
$ rpm -qi mozilla
Name : mozilla Relocations: /usr
Version : 0.9 Vendor: Red Hat, Inc.
Release : 0 Build Date: mån 7 maj 2001
23.33.34Install date: ons 9 maj 2001 20.43.02 Build Host:
porky.devel.redhat.com
Group : Applications/Internet Source RPM: mozilla-0.9-0.src.rpm
Size : 17081998 License: MPL
Packager : Red Hat, Inc. <http://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla>
Summary : Web browser and mail reader
Description :
Mozilla is an open-source web browser, designed for standards
compliance, performance and portability.
Hmm, I just tested this on another system (Win98), so it appears to be
Linux-specific, most likely having to do with one of the sound plugins. It may
also be important to note I don't have a plugin installed that's associated with
.MID files.
I'm not in charge of this bug whatsoever, just helping the guy's do some
groundwork. Therefore I can't update any of the fields with my opinion. :)

No, the only plugin i'm using is libnullplugin.so
Just opening the URL of the midi crashes mozilla, i tried a local midi file but
it promted me to save it, problably because of the wrong MIME type.
Short URL that crashes mozilla here:

*** Disregard from previous messsage! My previous mozilla 0.9 RPM installation
most likely used plugger. ***
My previous RPM installation of mozilla 0.9 most likely used plugger, my current
mozilla 0.9.1 (net install) does not use plugger and does not crash but prompts
me to dowload a plugin to open the midi file.
The above message applies to mozilla 0.9 with plugger
thanks
