It has only happened in 21.0a1/20130215 so far.

Bug 838877 also introduced a pref observer, in case that's relevant here.

There are several one-build spikes in Aurora: 22.0a2/20130408, 22.0a2/20130418, 22.0a2/20130421.

This is very similar, probably a dup of bug 744836.

It is because it spiked in builds where bug 744836 has no crashes.
