I have gmail in an App Tab. If I am in another tab that has a keyboard-focused input (e.g., the textarea in the new-bug form), and switch to the gmail tab either with cmd-1 or by clicking on it, then type something, then the keystrokes don't affect gmail, but on switching back to the original tab, those keystrokes appear in the text input. I can't quite nail it down, but I think this has to do with the Google Plus notification icon. This only seems to occur after I've clicked that notification icon, and will stop occurring if I reload the gmail tab.
