+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #840971 +++

Hi Theo,

The staging server is at:
https://www-demo2.allizom.org/ja/firefox/partners/
login: iwannaseemwc
password: T6IKdnkEEjAeRRNpc7AyRPLzDzTZcmbk

It may help you to see how other locales have translated strings, French is done and German is well under way:
http://l10n.mozilla-community.org/~pascalc/langchecker/?action=translate&file=firefox/partners/index.lang

The visual design is not entirely finished and we may have a few strings added or changed in the days to come.

This bug is marked as confidential and the staging server is behind a password because we don't want the information on this website to go public before the Mobile World Congress starts and probably not before Mozilla does its keynote speech at the event.

Let's use this bug for QA/Polishing since the translation is already done.

Thanks :)
We Mozilla usually translate mozilla.com page on mozilla.jp but this time we want to join mozilla.com l10n.

Please add ja/firefox/partners/index.lang file in the svn and configure mozilla.com to support ja for this page.

dynamis, can you tell me when you intend to send your translation to svn so as that we can plan QA? Thanks
Shimizu (or I) will input ja translation tomorrow, 21th in Japan time.
please note that we will add new strings to the file tonight/tomorrow as well
File updated today with 24 more strings, I expect a handful more tonight/tomorrow.
No longer depends on: 840971
Thanks, I have merged more updates today, there are 5 strings in your copy that probably are ok as untranslated:
http://l10n.mozilla-community.org/~pascalc/langchecker/?locale=ja#firefox/partners/index.lang

Can you mark their translation with the {ok} tag so as to indicate that leaving them identical to English is intended?
done! ;)
Some text are hidden under Phone Image (depending on the window width):
http://grab.by/k5h8
# Same problem in English
# http://grab.by/k5he

And some translated text contains unexpected line breaks
ex: "Some more partners" text in the screenshots.

Can we include <br> or <span stlye="">...</span> in the translated text?
If we cannot include HTML tags, we should change translations.
dynamis, please don't spread screenshots outside of this bug (marked as confidential), attach them to this bug instead. The website is not released and we don't want leaks since it involves partnership with external companies. Can you delete the screenshots on grab.by please? Thanks

I will file a separate bug for the issue since it involves all locales and I will CC you to the bug.

Thank you pointing out about my mistake, really sorry about uploading outside this bug. I removed from tinygrab and added attachments.
one string was modified
from:
Carrier billing in regional currencie
to:
Optional carrier billing in regional currencies

I have replaced the old string, your previous translation is marked as a string comment above the new string such as:

# Fuzzy: Your old translation
;Optional carrier billing in regional currencies
Optional carrier billing in regional currencies

Thanks
updated.

BTW, some text are not translated (not in index.lang):
 - all items in "MWC demonstrations" time table
ex: "Here.com (Nokia Maps) - Andy Tjin"
 - "9:00-16:00 CET" in the "Firefox at MWC 2013 — Schedule of events" table

Will you add them to index.lang when schedule is decided?
All the items in MWC demanstration are company names and speaker names, they are not meant to be be translated, if you really need to, you can add them manually in your lang file. I am unsure about the TBD acronym as I don't know if we mark it as TBD but it will be filled with names before the site is released or if we will get the names of speakers only after the site is published.

9:00-16:00 CET is a bug in the template, it should have a leading 0 (09:00-16:00 CET), I'll ping the webdev about it.
There is a news title to translate, added to your lang file. thanks
