Steps to reproduce:

Tried to open this document:
http://rml.lri.fr/papers/Mandel-These.pdf


Actual results:

It opens, but accent are replaced by other sign on the letter


Expected results:

Accent should display correctly (ex: é, è, ...) as it is displayed in other PDF viewer (PDF-X-change)

I think it depends on font installed.

For instance, on Windows 7, this pdf ( http://www.tcpdf.org/examples/example_008.pdf ) has some hidden characters (accents, ...) in many languages.

If you have an HTTP server with PHP, download TCPDF ( http://www.tcpdf.org/download.php ) and change the font from "freeserif" to "Helvetica", most of the languages examples are printed with all characters (da/de/es/fr/...). Maybe it depends on OS fonts installed...

I have the same problem with XP (SP / 3), Firefox PDF viewer does not display correctly accent.

Could you reproduce it with the latest development add-on?
http://mozilla.github.io/pdf.js/extensions/firefox/pdf.js.xpi
If so, please file a new bug instead of muddling an existing report.
