User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:19.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/19.0 Build ID: 20130215130331 Steps to reproduce: I have had the Lightning extension for some time. At first it worked great. Then, my tasks in general became increasingly difficult to check off when completed. Finally, I changed the start date for these, hoping that this would help. Now, my repeating tasks do not show up in the list for the day, and if I check "today", some of my old completed tasks show up. SOME of my tasks show up, but it seems to be some sort of haphazard, random hit and miss as to whether they are included in my list of things to do at all. Is there anything I can do to fix this problem?
Lightning keeps track of each completed occurrence, including status and completion date, and this can cause repeating tasks to respond slower over time (see Bug 726428). If you edit the entire series of a repeating task and shift the dates forward, this will also shift forward the occurrences that were completed. If you want to get rid of the completed occurrences, first edit the entire series again (I would suggest using the "All" filter in the Task View tab), set Repeat to "Does not repeat", and Save and Close, that will clear out the old occurrences and change it back to a single non-repeating task. Then you can edit the task again and set the Repeat setting back to what it was, and move the dates forward appropriately.
