There have been some discussion on expanding the list. Currently the writeup in bug 831612 lists .htm, .html, .svg, .url, .xht, and .xhtml.

We hould already handle everything on that list except for .svg. If .svg is desired please file a bug for it specifically and we can discuss the value if any of adding it in that bug. Thanks!
