Bug 840481 worked around an issue where Thunderbird wasn't packaging mozbase* in all its unit test files.
Bug 840954 has now fixed all active Thunderbird trees to package mozbase directories.
Please could we back out the Thunderbird specific work around in bug 840481 comment 6.
