Since this banner makes reference to the People's Choice Awards, I thought it would make sense to introduce the badge that we are using, but I do realize that this is still to be confirmed, so it should be seen more as of a placeholder right now. I have also incorporated the badges in a few more of the banners as well.
Thanks, Matt.
I think the background on this one is a little flat. Wondering if we can add a little gloss to it like with the grid Enter by July 31 promo - although, I can see why one would think we're in danger of overusing it.
Also, I don't think we're going to be ready with the badges so I was thinking we should remove them.
Otherwise, i think this works.
Added a bit of a sheen on the grey, and added some colour to give it a bit more life. Let me know what you think of this.

Matt...I think this one is good to go. Thanks for dropping some sheen on it.
We're ready for the PSD when you are.

Sorry to be a pain but I think this promo needs to be tweaked.
- Copy
We will be promoting the July 31 submission deadline already through another promotion and I am a little concerned that the current messaging makes it sound like we have two prizes competing (Grand Prize and People's Choice Award) while they simply share the same deadline. I would like to make that clearer.
In addition, I think the real intention here is to prompt participants to promote their videos in their community once the voting has started. We are actually going to redirect them to a blog post where they can find tips on how to get more votes. On a side note, the prizes for this award aren't very exciting (bragging rights and swag) and I am not sure if we are doing ourselves a service by drawing attention to them.
With that, I think something along those lines could work better:
* Headline: stays the same, it's clear and to the point.
* Sub-head:"In addition to the Grand Prize, your entry could win the People's Choice Awards. Find out how to make your entry popular with a few tips from the Flicks team."
* CTA: Read the blog post
- Design
Matt, is it possible to align the design to our other promotions? We had agreed to consolidate the look & feel of the carousel promotions and this one must have felt through the cracks!
Sorry to reopen this. I am not trying to fix something that isn't broken. I just think we haven't nailed this one yet and want to make sure it reaches the objective. Happy to discuss more if you feel this isn't an improvement.

I think you're totally right, Greg. I've just revised your copy a bit:
You're not just competing for the Grand Prize. You could also win a People's Choice Award. Get some tips to make your flick stand out.
What do you think?

I like it. Could we replace "stand out" by something that references votes more directly? I want to make it clear this is not about creating an original film, but about garnering votes.

That makes sense, I just don't want it to sound like we're promising them tips to actually get more votes, which we obviously can't do. How about this:
You're not just competing for the Grand Prize. You could also win a People's Choice Award. Get tips to help your flick get votes.

I think that's perfect. Thanks Matej.
Matt, can you update the psd with this copy?

Hey guys,
I've attached an updated version, let me know if this will work for you. I've kept the same foreground, but replaced the background to the darker look, which is more in keeping with the others.
Cheers,
Matt

Thanks Matt, background and foreground both work for me. Just curious as per why we wouldn't have the sub-head in orange and CTA in blue like on other promos. Is this intentional?

Hey Greg, actually just caught that myself, I will post an updated version. I was working from an older PSD which hadn't accounted for that change yet.
