According to http://tinyurl.com/cje4bzp just the final to call |JSON.stringify| takes 14ms+ in ~6% of samples. At 60 fps, that's nearly one frame at 60fps.
Worse than that: it takes 50ms+ for 1%+ of samples. At 60 fps, that's around three frames, and that's immediately user-visible.
We should reduce this.
