Mozilla's got a 15th anniversary coming up! :D We need design & copy for an email campaign announcement. Design: Like attached one-off email tablet announcement Focus of copy: "Happy 15th Anniversary" CTA = check out the list of 15th facts (Where is this landing page?) Ideal Timeline: Draft = Mar 20 Final = Mar 22 Let me know if you have any questions or any problems with the timeline. Thanks!
Hey Jess. Per my announcement in the Engagement meeting yesterday, can you post this request at https://www.smartsheet.com/b/publish?EQBCT=e3f63ab77acb4a719f9a43348956ecfb instead? We're not using Bugzilla for project intake anymore. Also, why the late notice on this? That's not a lot of work days for a project like this. Can we have some more time?
Hi John, We asked Tara yesterday where to file and she said bugzilla. This was also listed on the deliverables we had requested. This shouldn't be a lot of work. One image based on whatever design you're already coming up with.

Hey all: * wrt process: Sorry for the confusion, my bad. * wrt scope: I don't recall talking about a one-off email.. but a graphic that would go in the existing template. So, a highlighted article or something vs. a one-off. I suspect a one-off would be asking Matej and Lee a little too much given the tight timeframe. * wrt timing: Lee is working on finalizing designs by the 20th. So I don't think we can make the 20th deadline. Pending the design and how things go, we may be able to deliver on the 22nd, but I can't guarantee. So we'll have to adjust accordingly.

fwiw, we may be able to do a one-off, but I can't promise until Lee finalizes the design and we can assess based on that, and time :)
Sorry - clarification: We don't need an entire email layout. This is one image and a button. Not a template. It's going into our existing one-off email template. The only thing we need is an image for the center of the email and a button. In terms of timing, this isn't being sent until 3/31. We're not asking for an original graphic. Just a piece of art from the landing page you're developing. If it's not possible to get something in that time frame we'll adapt our plan and send the text with a generic image. Copy is in the smartsheet that I filed yesterday.

I thought we'd gotten it to you back in February when we first started working on this, but it looks like the project got rebooted at the same time and we didn't get it to you. As I mentioned yesterday, the copy on the landing page (the first paragraph) would be fine for the email. The email copy should be only just a paragraph or so. Super short with a big button CTA. The CTA is definitely to check out the 15 things you didn't know about Mozilla (since this is a 1-off to our consumer audience.) The plan was to use whatever graphic Lee coems up with as the imagery in the template that exists. Thanks Carmen. I should have realized that was the same copy Winston was talking about. It's my understanding, though, that the graphic Lee is creating will be the 15 facts (unless there's a second graphic I don't know about). If that's the case, they'll already be in the email. I thought there was a graphic that was a stylized treatment of "15" Tara, can you confirm? A graphic with the 15 things limits us even more with the timing because we can then only promote to EN for the actual date. (we don't have time for localization of a graphic by 3/31) The copy you have above, Matej, looks fine to me - I'll defer to Winston and Jess. Do you want to put it in a google doc for comments?
Sorry, don't mean to cause a panic. There may very well be a graphic I don't know about. I was just explaining my confusion around the CTA. Also, I'm not sure if we're proceeding on this bug or waiting for things to go through the new process. Tara, can you let me know how to proceed?

Hi there. Sorry there are so many moving pieces here: * The graphic is not a stylized number 15, sorry. * The graphic is a slideshow presentation of 15 facts (please see basecamp) * The campaign has a branded mark that we will be using across other channels. * Lee will need to finalize creative for /contribute first before we can tackle any other graphics as all other graphics stem from the core design elements. * Plan is to turn on promotions after 3/31, which means we have more time and can push our promotions out on a less stressed timeframe. The goal is to first focus on /contribute and nail that before we rush to deliver other assets.
Hey! Here's what I've got so far with the copy and plugging it into our basic email template for one-off emails. Please let me know if you like it, want me to add in the 15th Anniversary graphic, or if you want to redesign it. Thanks!

No problem. :) If you/Lee want to design a graphic banner to spice up the email (it does need some sort of spice) - go for it. Dimensions for replacing "http://image.e.mozilla.org/lib/fe9915707361037e75/m/1/header_fxu.png" 600 px wide total, each side has 1 px border in #d1dde7 (so image should be 598 with 1 px border on each side) Height = No taller than ~300px If you'd rather have an image somewhere in the email (not as a banner across the top): No wider than 500 No taller than 300 For locales - no DE and RU? Newsletter locales: DE, ES, PT, FR, RU, ID Contribute page locales: ?
Thanks. no RU. I have included DE in that list. It's the list of l10n participation I got from Winston. We don't have "15 years of a better Web" nor the /contribute page localized in RU.

Hi all, Here's a mockup of what an inserted graphic (not a header/banner graphic) would look like. I think using this alternate version of our Mozilla 15 mark will help avoid L10n issues. Users will see the main "15 years of a better web" banner graphic once they go to the site anyway. Jess, I'm using the max size of 500x300 you specified above. Let me know what you think. If you like it, you can slice it out directly from this mockup, or I can provide another JPG for you. Thanks!
