Steps to reproduce:

1. remove all local bookmarks
2. download from xmarks, overwrite local bookmarks with remote set.


Actual results:

missing all bookmarks of *subdirectories*
(20.0b4, 19.0.2 is OK. only 21.0a2)


Expected results:

all bookmarks should come back

Could you try to find a possible regression if it worked in Firefox 19?

FF20 nightly builds started in November 2012 (mozregression --good=2012-11-01).

In addition, do you think it could be an issue in Xmarks?

has problem:
21.0a2
no problem:
20.0b4, 19.0.2, 19.0

If Xmarks problem, why only 21.0a2 has problem. Maybe some API has change.

It would be useful if you could find a regression range with mozregression.
Just create a testing profile (see https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles) and install Xmarks inside it to download some bookmarks.
Then use mozregression with the option --profile=/path/to/profile to find a range.

Resolving incomplete since it's been over a month with no actionable information added to this bug report. 

eshizhan, if this is still reproducible for you with the latest Firefox Nightly and XMarks Sync, please reopen this bug and provide a regression window.
