Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:19.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/19.0
Build ID: 20130307023931
Steps to reproduce:
When you hover a hyperlink on a web page, Firefox shows the target URL in a tooltip in the lower left (or right) corner of the window. When you click the link, the tooltip is hidden. But when you click that link and then quickly hover another link on the old page before the old page has disappeared and the new page loaded, the new link's tooltip appears and remains visible on the new page. It only goes away when another hyperlink on the new page is hovered. It's pretty solid down there.
The bug is easy to reproduce:
visit https://support.mozilla.org/de/ (you might be redirected to the directory representing your country, though), click on the upper left link (Firefox), wait until the tooltip changes indicating that the new link is loaded and quickly move the mouse to the link right to it (FF for Android). You will still see this link after the new page has loaded (given you didn't hit a link on the newly loaded page by chance) until you move the mouse to a link on the new page.
Works also with alt-tab switching of programs but I can't reproduce that behaviour as easily.
The tooltip does not cover the window you switched to, though, as mentioned in other bugs.
Affecting FF 35.0.1 (but has been there for long) on Win XP SP3 and Win 8.1, even using a pristine profile.
Now, over 1 year later, still happening on FF44. No answer, no fix, it´s a shame. How about fixing the basics before building the next big multithreaded Chrome clone?
