In one of my emails from Jan. 2013, I noticed there was some odd looking code in-between words like: It's and You're And when quoting them: "Block cookies" So far, apostrophes (') & quotes (") aren't working. I finally got around to filing this bug now. Checking my older email notifications shows 1/18/13 did not have the bug. While a email from 1/25/13 did. That may be a good starting point for a regression range. This also looks like it may only affect emails sent from the Questions forum & not other forums. I'm also unsure if this affects KB notifications as well. Attached a screenshot of the problem. While this is a minor bug, it'd be nice to make apostrophes & quotes look pretty again. For reference: Html special characters http://www.utexas.edu/learn/html/spchar.html
We've made a bunch of changes and fixes for this issue in the last month. Is this still happening for emails you got last week? If not, I'm going to dupe it with bug #842301.
Confirmed. Fixed by Bug 842301. Sorry for the dupe. Tobbi beat me to the punch. :P I saw Bug 842301 yesterday when searching for dupes but thought it was fixed last year. D'oh! Sent a test comment to myself with the terms: It's / you're / "Quotes" All appeared correctly. Thanks for the fix, Will!
