Details

I'm doing the Asturian localization, and with 0.9 I could create an installable .xpi and open it from my hard drive. With 0.9.1 not, and neither with the blocks in ftp.mozilla.org for 0.9.1. Is there any differences between a link and the file.xpi? It's not everything especified under install.js? Why Mozilla doesn't recognize as a file to open? This bug has been tested with the German lang pack (langdeat.xpi), with the Asturian langpack, with the Scotts, and by Neo with the Chinese langpack. The problem is the following: I cannot install langdeat.xpi or any other lang pack in Mozilla 0.9.1. When I click on the langdeat.xpi or I downloaded it and try to open it with Mozilla, it opens a window prompting me if I want to open or save the file. If I say open it with Mozilla, it opens a new browser window and the same window prompting appears again. It doesn't install. Steps to reproduce: 1. Download a langpack as the landdeat.xpi from ftp.mozilla.org TO YOUR HARD DRIVE. (Or if you are a translator, pack a lang pack to .xpi). 2. Try to open that file with Mozilla 0.9.1. 3. Expected result: to install the german lang pack. 4. Actual result: it prompts you what to do with a .xpi file, then if you chose open with mozilla, it opens new browser window and prompts you again.
