Reproducible on Firefox 20 RC (BuildID: 20130326150557): Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:20.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/20.0 Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.8; rv:20.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/20.0 Reproducible on the latest Aurora (BuildID: 20130328042013): Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:20.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/20.0 Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.8; rv:20.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/20.0 Reproducible on the latest Nightly (BuildID: 20130328031013): Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:20.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/20.0 Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.8; rv:20.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/20.0 Steps to reproduce: 1. Launch Firefox. 2. Navigate to http://edition.cnn.com/ (or any other url). 3. Select some text by double/triple clicking. 4. Right click on the selected text. 5. Left click somewhere else on the page. Expected results: The selected text is no more highlighted. Actual results: The selected text remains highlighted. Notes: 1. This issue is not a regression: it reproduces back to Firefox 4.0. 2. This issue is only Mac OSX and Linux related.

> Actual results: The selected text remains highlighted.
That seems like the desired behavior on OSX/Linux - a left-click when
a context menu is posted closes that menu and nothing else.
