856097 - Can't close desktop Firefox from apps list

While testing bug 846365 I noticed that you can't close desktop Firefox from the apps list when I am in a different application, like Metro Firefox or the Music app.

I can however close other Metro apps from other Metro apps.

STR:
1. Open desktop Firefox
2. Open Metro Firefox
3. Bring up the list of apps while in Metro Firefox so that you can see the "Desktop" version and right click to close it.
4. Go back to the desktop

Expected: Desktop version is closed.

Actual: Desktop version is still running.

Other Metro apps can do this to other metro apps, but I couldn't get an app like Sublime Text listed so I could try with that and see if also doesn't close.

Is this intended?

Yes, this is intended. :) The desktop is treated as an app, so you're closing the desktop; not Firefox. But because the desktop isn't really a Metro style app, Windows only "pretends" to close the desktop, when in fact everything on it is still running.

Yup as per Comment 1.  Desktop apps aren't listed there, the entire Desktop is listed as 1 item and never really closed.
