Since updating Nightly on the 25./26. i'm getting frequent crashes while viewing image-galleries. working build: 0a10eca0c521 it looks like the geforce gl-driver(Mac OS X 10.8.3 (12D78)) crashes. both crashreporter and apple's crashreport-tool are displayed, however crashreporter, seems to have trouble uploading the crash-data: https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/bp-a6aaa52d-1921-4a79-a92f-b5eb52130331 crash while loading this url: http://www.thesuperficial.com/photos/adrianne-palicki-filming-wonder-woman-in-costume about:support - Graphics-section Device ID: 0x fd5 GPU Accelerated Windows: 1/1 OpenGL Vendor ID: 0x10de WebGL Renderer: NVIDIA Corporation -- NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M OpenGL Engine AzureCanvasBackend: quartz AzureContentBackend: none AzureFallbackCanvasBackend: none

Maybe a duplicate of bug 855221 that has a close regression range?

Do you see anything interesting/related in the console? (You can use the Console app in Applications : Utilities to look at this.) Are you able to test on OS X 10.7.5 or 10.8.2?

The crash log you posted in comment #0 is truly weird. But that might be because many of the symbols are spurious. Exactly what nightly was this crash log generated on? Was it a mozilla-central nightly? If so the symbols should be genuine. Other nightlies, though, have their symbols stripped.

I should note that I'm unable to reproduce these crashes on a Retina MacBook Pro (which has two kinds of graphics hardware, one of which matches yours exactly). I tested with the 2013-03-26-03-09-41-mozilla-central nightly.

it's really a strange one. i'm seeing it in 10.8.2 & 10.8.3(both case-sensitive fs) with both intel hd40000 and nvidia geforce gt 650m, on two different systems(2012 - mbp 15" & 2012 - macmini). i believe it's somehow related to Bug 716140, because after setting image.multithreaded_decoding.enabled to false, nightly doesn't crash. didn't include STR in comment #0, maybe you can reproduce it then. STR: 1) load URL 2) while loading scroll the page up/down 3) nightly crashes

sure sounds like a dupe of bug 855221, at least one other crash-report mentions scrolling/loading images. duping this one.
