Details

From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win 9x 4.90; en-US; rv:0.9.1+) Gecko/20010613 BuildID: 2001061304 After using Mozilla to read newsgroup messages for a little bit, I get an error message from my NNTP server saying that too many connections are open. I'm never loading more than one message at a time from the server. Once this message appears, I can no longer read any message. Even if I leave Mozilla alone for several minutes, I get the error if I try to read a message. The only fix is to quit and re-load Mozilla. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Use Mozilla to view newsgroup messages on a server that limits number of connections from an IP. 2. 3. Actual Results: After a while, an error comes up saying that too many NNTP connections are open. Expected Results: I guess I could expect this message if I tried to open up a whole bunch of messages at once. If I try to re-visit a message where I got that error, Mozilla displays a blank message and marks it as read, rather than displaying the error again. (But perhaps this should be filed separately)
Stephend, is this maybe a duplicate of bug 67213?
67213 seems like it's focused on the point that a newsgroup post is lost if this error encountered during posting. My problem is, I'm getting the error when I shouldn't be
It's not an outright duplicate, but bug 66150 is about us being able to specify how many connections to allow (client side).
Yeah, it really is a DUP of bug 66150, but also see bug 74518, which is about attachments brining up this dialog. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 66150 ***
