I tried testing the packaged version of the Firefox Marketplace (Fireplace) in Nightly and it crashed upon installation.

Hmm...I actually don't think this is specific to the marketplace packaged app. I just a crash with my test web packaged app.

Looking at the crash URL, this appears to be bug 858034 breaking us.

The crash from bug you've reported is the same as the dupe:

The crash happens due to accessing device storage on a platform that doesn't support device storage.
