Steps to reproduce:

I tried to use the Touch-gesture (Pinch) in Firefox 20 for zooming a Website in Windows 8 using my Samsung Ultrabook (Series 7).



Actual results:

Firefox doesn't really zoom seamless like the Internet Explorer for example does. I created a short Video to demonstrate this issue.



Expected results:

I think Firefox should Support also the seamless zooming like other Browsers as Touchscreen become more and more popular regarding Windows 8.

The user-experience regarding Touch is not perfect at the Moment in Firefox in comparison with the Internet Explorer 10.

Would be great if you are able to improve this :-)

Thanks for reporting this!  We're hoping to get the APZC (Asynchronous Pan-Zoom Controller) hooked up in Firefox immersive/Metro before releasing to beta and release.  APZC should make panning and zooming work more like it does in Firefox for Android.  Until that work is completed, zooming pretty much sucks in Firefox immersive/Metro :(

We seem to be resolving "zooming doesn't work in Firefox for Metro" bugs to bug 789906, though that bug doesn't have the most useful description of the problem or up-to-date info about the latest work in this area.  Hopefully that bug gets updated soon.

I should have watched the video before commenting ;)

Although my previous comments apply to Firefox immersive/Metro, the linked bug actually deals with non-Metro Win8
