With "Wikipedia (en)" selected as my search engine in the search bar, I entered the string "a game of thrones" and pressed the Enter key (tried with both the default and the numpad Enter keys). Instead of searching the string from Wikipedia, Firefox used Amazon.com as the search engine.
This does not seem to happen for other strings - even with book names (I also tried "clash of kings" and "harry potter and the philosopher's stone").
This also does not happen, if instead of searching by pressing the Enter key I click the magnifying glass with left mouse button.

Okay, did some searches. Apparently any search with the search bar starting with the letter "a" seem to cause the search to use Amazon when invoking the search with the Enter key. This doesn't happen when clicking the magnifying glass with LMB. Likewise, "g something" <enter> searches with Google and "w something" <enter> with Wikipedia. All this even when a different search engine is selected.

This likely means that you've configured an "a" keyword for the Amazon search engine, using the search engine manager (Search Bar->Manage Search Engines...). Is this the case? We don't ship keywords for the default search engines by default.

This issue does not reproduce for me, using the latest Nightly, build ID: 20130414031025.
Both worked for me:
1) typed "a game of thrones" (without the "") and pressed the Enter key in the Search bar (after first selecting "Wikipedia (en)" as my search engine in the Search bar)
2) typed "a game of thrones" (without the "") and clicked the magnifying glass (after first selecting "Wikipedia (en)" as my search engine in the Search bar)

Apparently this issue was caused by an add-on I had.
