It would be great if it was possible to turn off rendering of html in mail/news-messages. Not just when composing/sending, but also when viewing a received mail. Maybe this should even be done in two "steps". Turn off html, which shows plain text instead of the html-message, and Turn off all html, which also turns of the "show urls as links" and so on. With a few checkboxes in the top of the message window, one could easily turn off this for instance if you want to mark a link, without triggering the opening of a browserwindow or a new message
I'd like to see this feature since I often want to delete a junk e-mail but fear that loading it (if it's HTML) will bounce back to the server and tell them my ID. My current workaround is to try to find a message that I can also delete and use command-click to select the multiple messages and then delete both. Unfortunately I don't keep extra messages to be deleted in my inbox. Is this a duplicate RFE?
