Component: Untriaged → General
Keywords: flashplayer
Please can you provide the crash ID from the about:crashes page? Does it happen in Safe Mode (see https://support.mozilla.org/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode)?

Ever confirmed: true
Could you reproduce this with Firefox Nightly and provide crash IDs for that?
Flags: needinfo?(gbhebert)
In Nightly about:crashes shows the crash id as bp-hr-20130424-a943cad0-380e-4ba2-ae17-65f666fc773b / here is the page it leads to https://crash-analysis.mozilla.com/hang-reports/2013/04-24/hr-20130424-a943cad0-380e-4ba2-ae17-65f666fc773b.html
Flags: needinfo?(gbhebert)
I see you're using Flash 11.5.502. Please update to the latest Flash (11.7.x) and see if it works. If not, a Nightly crash link for that would be nice.
Flags: needinfo?(gbhebert)
I tried using Flash 11.7 but it ran horribly on my computer when watching videos, the video would pause, but the audio would continue, hardware acceleration for both firefox and flash were off and protected mode was off. So I rolled back to 11.5 which was the last known version that worked fine.
Flags: needinfo?(gbhebert)
Could you still check if it has the same issue?
bp-hr-20130424-a466e833-af29-447c-b046-31e07988b557 reported as crash ID with Flash 11.7, data page for ID; https://crash-analysis.mozilla.com/hang-reports/2013/04-24/hr-20130424-a466e833-af29-447c-b046-31e07988b557.html
The issue does not happen if the flash plugin is disabled
Actually I think I may have fixed the issue After setting the dom.ipc.plugins.timeoutSecs in about:config to 60 seconds from 45 seconds Flash Player is no longer crashing
I was able to crash FF 20.0.1, Flash 11.5.502.149 while playing with Touch Keyboard (tabtip.exe) on youtube.com, but I don't have some very specific STR yet. I'll keep digging. http://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/bp-43bb0201-8bc7-4d2e-8d94-f215d2130425

Reproducible with Flash 11.7.700.169 on Nightly 23.0a1 (2013-04-25). STR: 1. open a youtube video 2. open the Touch Keyboard 3. expand the keyboard (right top button, near X) 4. close/open quickly the keyboard 10-20 times AR: Flash plugin crash https://crash-analysis.mozilla.com/hang-reports/2013/04-26/hr-20130426-cd71376f-d264-4bc1-91f6-e8c4b649fa68.html

When I go to Youtube I get the HTML5 player and I don't see any problems with that. Can you still reproduce this problem? If so, are you doing something to disable the HTML5 player and force the Flash player?
Flags: needinfo?(paul.silaghi)
I guess in 2013 HTML5 wasn't the default player for youtube. But now it is, and I don't see any problem with the touch keyboard. I also tried on some Flash games sites, FX 50.0a1 (2016-07-07) Win 7.

Great, thanks for checking!
