It would be great if Google could send the same version of news.google.com to Firefox OS as they do to Chrokme for Android. The browser app on Firefox OS currently gets sent the full desktop version which doesn't work very well at all and Firefox for Android gets sent a very simplistic mobile version. The biggest problem is that the everything.me "app" on Firefox OS also uses this simplistic version and it doesn't open news stories with a _blank target. That means that news sites get loaded inside the "app" iframe which doesn't have async pan and zoom turned on, making it very difficult to read. The version which gets sent to Chrome for Android is optimised for mobile *and* opens news stories with a _blank target. There's a slight rendering issue with the top navigation bar being white, but apart from that it works perfectly fine in Gecko.
Testing this today I see that the everything.me "app" now gets a mobile optimised version of Google News that works great on Firefox OS. It's more polished, has a built in back button and opens links in the browser as I would expect. For some reason the browser app still gets the full desktop version, why is this?
I just tried today with firefox beta for android and got the mobile optimized version. However once I signed on, I am getting an XML parsing error about the page being not well formed. The error is on line 6, but it's difficult to decipher the error because there are other rendering issues on the error page.
comment #2 appeared to have fixed itself
I lied, it still happens intermittently.
I should update that on Android (nexus4) I have no had a problem with this for the past month or so.

Isn't this a dup of one of the others or vice versa? http://arewecompatibleyet.com/#list:custom:news.google
