Steps to reproduce:

While browsing a page, parts of it occasionally exhibit an aberration/distorted text (see attached screen capture) which may be repaired with a mouse-over or other refresh mode (e.g. mouse-wheel to and fro). Then again wheel to and fro might invoke the problem when this is not yet manifested.

Symptom does not seem to be page specific.

Is it reproducible? 
Yes and No. 
Yes: In one particular page the symptoms were very acute. Revisiting the page reproduced the same symptoms at the same page areas. So did closing Firefox, reopening & revisiting the page, even after rebooting. Same symptoms (perhaps due to caching?)

No: Some minutes later the symptom disappeared altogether and for hours.

During this time (i.e. "Yes" description above) MSIE on another window did not have any similar behavior.

Reverted from ff 21 beta to 20.0.1 and the problem persisted.
Updated graphics adapter software and the problem persisted.

Apparently something triggers the behaviour on and off.

Configuration: 
Win 7, ff ver. 20.0.1 and 21. beta, 1280x1024 in 244E Philips monitor, ATI Radeon 3000 graphics card, Processor Phenom II X4 955

Certainly looks like it does.
Just uninstalled KB2670838 and have no symptoms, but it is too early to tell.
Will wait a couple of days and report back.

I confirm having no issues after uninstalling KB2670838 and working for three days. Problem solved. Thanks again.
