In 10.8 I got this message: "Seamonkey" can't be opened because it is from an unidentified developer. Your security preferences allow installation of only apps from the Mac store and identified developers."

It looks like you may need to change your security preferences on Mac OS10.8, to allow Seamonkey to install and run. There may be a tweak in the Security Settings to permit that (I am not a Mac expert...).
