866067 - PTO app should use a text input rather than textarea for the 'people to notify' field, so form history works

Each time I file PTO, I add the same people to the 'People to Notify' field - however I have to look them up from Thunderbird every time, since form history doesn't work on the field, since it's a textarea.

Given that the field is really wide, even as a standard text input, there shouldn't be much text obscured - so we could just textarea -> text.

This app is no longer maintained and the new version has been shelved. Contact Jill Van De Ven for details on when a replacement will be available.

(I suspect we should close the Bugzilla component, but we should probably leave it open for security bugs at least until the transition is made. My apologies, I think it's misleading.)

If the new version has been shelved, I'm guessing it will be quite a while before the current PTO app is replaced.

The change here will be fairly trivial to make, so whilst the app is EOL, might still be worth doing. If no one else gets to it any time soon, I'll take a look in the next week or so.

Whilst bug 573088 would solve this problem more completely, it's been 18 months since I filed this, and 4.5 years since bug 573088 was filed, and it hasn't been fixed.

Let's just do the easy quick fix for now, to avoid it being another few years of people having to manually recreate a multi-person CC list :-)

I think the PTO sadly has quite a few instances of letting perfect be the enemy of the good - point in case: the app that was supposed to replace the current one :-(
