Bug 724533 attachment 731516 [details] [diff] [review] made ICU build with Mozilla build for Windows. These changes should be contributed to ICU for easier maintenance. The ICU side of this is tracked at
http://bugs.icu-project.org/trac/ticket/9985

Once the changes are integrated into ICU, the warning in intl/update-icu.sh can be removed.

Recent updating to 52.1 didn't pick this up.  Latest in the ICU ticket is that it's targeted at 53.1 -- if it happens there, great, otherwise we might end up carrying this another cycle.

I'm unlikely to have time to poke upstream about this in the near future due to other demands, for what it's worth.  Maybe a month or two from now, although I think that's past when 53.1 was going to be released, if memory serves.
