In terms of being more open to our community and to advertise our own teams better, we should allow to show groups and their members to the public, means without the need to login first. At the same time we have to take care about the privacy settings from members and only show as much as possible information as been allowed. Means if a member has decided to only have information for logged in members, we should respect this.

With the right implementation we will be able to be more open to the outside, and have a better result in engaging people to join our community and teams.

Closing as wontfix - (a) mozillians is more people.mozilla.org now, so, even if applicable there, it's not well captured by this bug; and (b) due to spam we have already begun pivoting some items away from open settings.
