The display of string properties in the variables view can be misleading in some cases if there are special characters (like tabs) inside the string.

The tabs are not shown in the default (read-only) view of the string property.  Once you click into the property, switching it to an input for editing, the tabs become visible.

The read view is being fixed in bug 1258584.
However I think the object inspector may not have editing yet?
So this will be a bug in a different way then.

Moving to the DOM panel as it's VariableView related and only the DOM panel uses the VariableView now

erratum: this should have been moved to the storage inspector, which is the last consumer of the variable view
