Steps to reproduce:
tried to type new paragraphs in the texts field on the Motorola support forums. I hit the return button to start a new paragraph
Actual results:
The cursor will go to the position of where the new paragraph should begin, but when I start typing it will enter all text at the end of the previous paragraph. I have see that it will sometimes let me create a 2nd paragraph, but I haven't yet been able to create a 3rd one. If I go back to edit a message and I have hit the enter button a few times in my original comment, you can see the HTML code for a new paragraph, so it is getting entered, but won't let me type in the new paragraph.
Expected results:
A new paragraph should start and you should be able to enter text in that new paragraph.

Which virtual keyboard, and Android version are you using? Can you try out our dev-channel Nightly (http://nightly.mozilla.org) for Android and report back if that works out for you?
Jim, does this sound like another existing bug, or something fixed on trunk?
Flags: needinfo?(nchen)
OS: Linux → Android
Hardware: Other → ARM
Android version 4.1.2.
I am using a physical keyboard on the lapdock 500. I haven't tried this on a phone with a virtual keyboard, but I can. I will report back.
It seems that I have run into another problem on the phone. I am using a Motorola Droid Razr HD Maxx. I went to the site and put the browser in Desktop mode, but I don't seem to get the advanced text box entry that I get when I am on the Lapdock. Using just a basic text editor box will not give me the same results or let me test this bug that I am seeing on the lapdock.
Just tried the nightly and I am getting the same results on the lapdock 500 with the Motorola droid razr. Android version 4.1.2.

Could be bug 847983.

Hi Joel, what do you mean by "advanced text box entry" versus "basic text editor"?
Flags: needinfo?(nchen)
The advanced text box has buttons at the top of it to do things like add a link, check spelling, formatting options, etc.
The basic text box is an HTML text box only.
