Marketing is planning to run a SEM (Search Engine Marketing) campaign for users in Indonesia and want to understand the quality of the acquired users.

Please spin up a funnelcake build with the following:
Channel - Release
Version - Latest Firefox Version (fx-21)
Platform - Windows
Locale - Indonesian (http://www.mozilla.org/id/firefox/new/)
Blocks: 870469
Assignee: nobody → cbook
We'd like to get this campaign live by early June, so having this by 5/29 would be great.

Thanks in advanced for your help - being able to measure the quality of these users will really help us figure out how to spend our marketing dollars, and moreover, help grow Firefox desktop in emerging markets.

Thanks for filing in advance, much appreciated.

Correction to timing. This is moving up a bit. New timing: can this go live in two weeks, by May 23rd?

John - let's chat about this.
the only change needed for funnelcake would be introduction of a buildid to distinguish between regular and paid conversions.

Can you expand on what you mean by buildid? Do you mean distribution id/version? We don't have the ability to alter the build id for funnelcake builds.
by build-id, I meant the "Channel" name that we get with blocklist ping, sorry for the confusion.

For eg: The current funnelcake study for stub installer has two channel names "release-cck-mozilla21" and "release-cck-mozilla22" that we get as part of the blocklist ping.
Got it - thanks.
To clarify a bit more:
Each campaign will have a different funnelcake build. Separate FC builds allow us to accurately measure conversions and ADIs.

Bouncer does support logic to distinguish between downloads, I'll file a separate bug requesting information from IT (jakem)

Going to get these generated tomorrow.
OK, I've got these ready. They have the following customizations:
* Update requests are sent to URLs like: https://aus3.mozilla.org/update/3/Firefox/21.0/20130511120803/WINNT_x86-msvc/id/release-cck-sem1/Windows_NT%206.1.1.0%20(x64)/sem1/1.0/update.xml?force=1
* What's new page is like: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/21.0/whatsnew/?oldversion=19.0.2&sem=1
* First run page is: http://www.mozilla.com/%LOCALE%/%APP%/%VERSION%/firstrun/?sem=1
* app.partner.sem1 is set to "sem1"

(sem2 builds all say sem2 in place of sem1, of course.)

They're available through the following Bouncer links:
http://download.mozilla.org/?product=firefox-21.0-sem1&os=win&lang=id
http://download.mozilla.org/?product=firefox-21.0-sem2&os=win&lang=id

aphadke, can you have a look and verify that these will be satisfactory?

There was a bit of confusion around update channels but I'm pretty sure we decided that these are OK. Please re-open if there's any problems.

I pulled these builds off ftp and out of bouncer, since we never ended up using them. Builds stashed at stage:~ffxbld/firefox-21.0-sem.tar as a backup.

ADI is ~10 total, presumably from random downloads.

Hey Nick: If you have seen in some of the email traffic, there was an incorrect character in the URL in AdWords and it caused invalid data to be collected. That was resolved a few days ago and data looks great now. The issue is that we don't have a full week of data and now Firefox 23 is coming out next Tuesday. Is it possible to Spin up Funnelcake with an ID of 24 that is built with Firefox 23 release? They would be the same as the funnelcake 23 you created, but make a funnelcake 24 using Firefox 23. This should be for windows, mac, and linux. How much time will you need and do you need to wait until Tuesday until Firefox 23 is released to do anything?

Thanks!
