Details
Description:
When using any keyboard, tapping the shift key once will keep all letters capitalized instead of just the first one. Double tapping produces the same results but changes the color of the key.
Repro Steps:
1. Update Leo device to build 20130509070205
2. Open the keyboard in any app (Wifi passwords, SMS, email, etc.)
3. Tap the shift key and enter several characters.
4. Observe that all keys pressed will result in upper case characters, rather than just the first one.
Actual:
Pressing shift once seems to enable caps lock, all characters entered will be capitalized.
Expected:
Pressing the shift key once will only capitalize the first character that is entered, double tapping the shift key will enable caps lock.

I believe for all smartphone including Android system and iOS system, single tap on "shift" is for one upper case character. If you want to have "caps lock", please quickly tap twice on the "shift" key. In this case, the characters you enter would be upper case till you cancel it.

This is a bug, reopening.
Tapping it once makes all characters stay in caps until the shift key is tapped again. Tapping it twice gives the same functionality.
This is not the intended behavior unless your caps lock function is meant to be entirely redundant.
It did not behave this way in any previous build.

KBandText-001 As a user, I want to single tap the shift button so that I can choose a single capital letter.
The above bug indicates that Single Tapping the Shift Key enables Caps Lock.
It can also be noted that currently Double Tapping (Shift) also enables Caps Lock.
Summary: [B2G][Leo][Keyboard]: Tapping the shift key once enables caps lock. → [B2G][Leo][Keyboard]: Single Tapping the Shift Key enables Caps Lock

Issue actually seems to no longer be occurring on today's leo build from the 1.1 branch.
Gecko: http://hg.mozilla.org/releases/mozilla-b2g18/rev/2aba3b5ac1c2
Gaia: fcaa90923894211c19b3544b5cb16eb0db5a6286
Build: 20130510070207
Shift key seems to be working as intended. Pressing shift once only capitalizes the first character entered, and reverts to lowercase for the next ones. Double-tapping enable caps lock and all characters entered will be capitalized.
Resolving as worksforme, will keep on an eye on this issue re-occurring.
