STR:

1. go to about:config
2. set plugin.expose_full_path to true
3. go to about:plugins

Expected result:

The full plugin path is shown.

Actual result:

The full plugin path is NOT shown.

Works in Firefox 20, Firefox 22 Aurora and Firefox 23, but not in the current Firefox 21 Beta 7.

I'm not sure about the versions being reported here, but this is basically the opposite of bug 661961. We actually want to remove the expose_full_path pref entirely.

Dupe of bug 835969 which was duped to 661961.

The pref is removed for Firefox 22 and about:plugins will now always show the full path.

I doubt this is important enough to backport to 21.

Why is this a dupe? With the current beta I have no chance to see the full plugin path. it's not the same as bug 835969. the path is shown in Firefox 20 and in Firefox 22 Aurora and higher, but in Firefox 21 Beta it is not possible to see the full plugin path. Two behavior changes with two updates (Firefox 20 -> Firefox 21 and Firefox 21 -> Firefox 22) are strange.

No, this is exactly bug 835969 which was filed for Firefox 21 when it was still in Aurora. The fix (which was to show the path here by default without needing the pref) landed for Firefox 22 but has not been uplifted to Firefox 21. I'll ask in bug 661961 if they want to get the fix into Firefox 21 too or not, though as I said, I'm not sure if they will.
