sorting via column headers with very long query strings fails. this is similar to bug 774194, however i'm not sure that making the column headers buttons so they can be POSTed is the right fix here. given we have the list_id, it may be possible to use that to avoid passing the full query back to the cgi. another solution would be to use javascript to create and submit a hidden form when the column header is clicked and the query string is too long to GET.
