Steps to reproduce:
1) Load wired.com and wait for the page to load

Expected results:
The page is correctly loaded

Actual results:
The images are never displayed after page load.
This also affects the Wired webapp

Notes:
I am unable to reproduce the issue on the Samsung Galaxy Tab (Android 4.0.4) or on the latest Nightly/Aurora builds

I can reproduce this on Beta. I tried Nightly and all is fine. Also ruled out some really dumb user-agent sniffing trying this with different UA's and no luck. Might be a dumb issue on their end with Mobify lazy-loading the images?

What is data-lazy-loaded="true" refer to? Ex:

Nightly and Aurora work today for me. I suspect this was an issue on their end.

Even though Beta is still impacted? Would we want to find a fix window?

Beta is affected, yes, albeit I believe this is something on their end. I get transparent (1x1 Gifs) of image-content served via Mobify. If such is the case, this should move to Evangelism.

I'd like a dev to see if that's what they get too using a build from mozilla-beta.

Unless you believe this is a UA-specific problem, please find a regression window even still.

There is likely some "Webkit is great" issues going on here, but I see one error that we fixed and could uplift:

Fixed by bug 858828. I am requesting beta uplift since the patch is small and safe. No idea if that is the magic bit.

As Aaaron points out in comment 2, the imgs are lazy-load using JS. The JS files hit some snags while loading:
