Marco,
I couldn't reproduce the issue that Ernesto was having, but I did find several other issues relating to HTML Video through YouTube & Downloads, I listed them below. I used two different machines to try to reproduce the issues, the first one was a Lenovo X1 Carbon and the second was my desktop machine.
- Played through at least 20 YouTube clips without any hangs, crashes or unresponsive behavior (using HTML5 as Flash is not supported)
- Created a several tabs while playing a YouTube video without any hangs, crashes or unresponsive behavior
- Used several of the video controls without any issues (only problem was adjusting audio as mentioned below)
- Downloaded several EXE's without any issues (Firefox, Blender, GIMP, VLC, several PDF's)
- While downloading, opened several tabs and browsed Facebook, Twitter without any hangs, crashes or unresponsive behavior
Issues:
- Adjusting audio isn't working in YouTube, the user can click on the microphone and mute the audio but cannot adjust it via sliding (doesn't work with both touch/mouse)
- Personally think that the "Blue" progress circle doesn't match the current template (not sure if there's already plans to change this)
- Once you have downloaded something, the "Blue" indicator isn't cleared and will always appear unless Firefox Metro is restarted
- Once the download has completed, I think we should slide in a app bar indicating that the download has been completed (with options to run the application, IE does it this way)
Would you like me to create these issues in separate tickets Marco?
