This bug describes the new rules proposed in a related email thread to make the display of auto-correct more consistent. These are:

1. The user should always see an auto-correct recommendation.

2. The first recommendation should always be the strongest recommendation.

3. The first recommendation option should always be blue.

4. There should only be one rule the user needs to learn, and that rule is: "The blue option is the one that is entered when I press space/punctuation."

5. The verbatim entry should always be second the display, unless it's the strongest, in which case it should come first.

6. When the verbatim option becomes the first option, show two other suggestions (no blank space).
We haven't yet had agreement for v1.1, so unsetting the milestone. Will leave blocking bug 797170.

Thanks Stephany! I think I've already implemented all of the rules you describe in bug 868819. Have you tried what is currently on Gaia master and found that it does not behave as desired? If so, please let me know more specfically what is not working. Otherwise, I'll close this as a duplicate.

Nope - seems great David. Was just documenting the email thread, but it seems you code faster than we type. ;)
