Adding any of the tabs in the URL page causes mozilla 0.9.1/netscape 6.1 PR1 to crash or freeze under my linux machine. It doesn´t always happen, but with the flash tab selected my browser becomes a lot instable...
Reporter: when you have the flash tab there do you have an audio device playing? (xmms, freeamp, xmcd, etc)
Roger, is this still happening?
It's still happening with netscape 6.1 linux. The bug occurs when there is no audio device playing. I'm using KDE with the sound server not enabled at startup.
Definitely reproducible using Flashplayer 5.0r47 on 2001083108. I'm attaching the (short) stack trace: #1 0x4049f23f in free () from /lib/libc.so.6 #2 0x40e8a215 in _IcePaAuthDataEntries () from /mondo/local/mozilla/plugins/libflashplayer.so #3 0x40e305c0 in compositeClassRec () from /usr/X11R6/lib/libXt.so.6 Can't see why this is happening. Let me test if opening as a page works.

Okay, the URL in question is http://www.mamata.com.br/sidebar/ice.html and it seems to work fine in the browser window (nice games, too). I think this probably happens because of a bug in the flashplayer, but mozilla shouldn't crash, regardless. Over to plugins.

Hey!! 4 brazilian guys in the same bug!!!! Fabricio, Roger, Kiko and Galli!!!
I get a stack trace that looks like: #0 0x405b50e4 in __libc_open () from /lib/libc.so.6 #1 0x40217cbc in __DTOR_END__ () from /lib/libpthread.so.0 #2 0x40e3aada in _IcePaAuthDataEntries () from plugins/libflashplayer.so
The previous stack trace was for a freeze. When trying to play the Radical Red game with Mozilla 2002011108, Linux 2.4.17 i686, glibc-2.2.4-19.3, XFree86 4.1.0, it crashes with this stack trace: #0 0x405548d9 in chunk_alloc (ar_ptr=0x40606520, nb=57) at malloc.c:2990 #1 0x4055402c in __libc_malloc (bytes=48) at malloc.c:2811 #2 0x401cc253 in PR_Malloc () from /usr/home/matt/graze/browsers/mz/libnspr4.so #3 0x40167e70 in nsMemoryImpl::Alloc () from /usr/home/matt/graze/browsers/mz/libxpcom.so #4 0x40d1d569 in NSGetModule () from /usr/home/matt/graze/browsers/mz/components/libgkplugin.so The freezing seems to be intermitent, but the crashing (at least for this particular Flash app) is consistent. Different bugs, probably.
Can someone do a test under control of Rational Purify, please ?

Doesn't happen to me with 2002040606, Shockwave Flash 5.0 r48.
When I open a page in a tab and there are some flash video, only when I press the right botton of the mouse the browser crash and close.
Pietro: what platform are you on? What version of the app are you using? What version of flash do you have installed? And what is the URL where you carshed?
WFM Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.0.0+) Gecko/20020523 Netscape/7.0b1+, rh7.2, Flash 5.0 r48 I'm able to add all 3 games from http://www.mamata.com.br/sidebar/ to the my sidebar, and all play well, right botton click brings up flash content menu as expected
