What did you do?
================
1. Tried using #&1F528; to create an icon for a badge on an item in a template
2. Found it gets stripped out by bleach.
3. Cried.

What happened?
==============
See above

What should have happened?
==========================
We want to start using some unicode symbols in badges on items to create simple markers of special status of items in lists. We can't do that if they're being stripped out. Please help!

Is there anything else we should know?

Why is this marked as depending on page move?

Aren't we using FontAwesome for symbols?

Yes, so I have absolutely no clue what sheppy's talking about.

Yes, we're using Font Awesome for these symbols; that Unicode character code is a Font Awesome character I was trying to use in a macro, and it was being removed from the content.

Can you tell me how it was being used? i.e provide the HTML/CSS sample?
