When I enter a URL like http://www.theregister.co.uk, http://bugzilla.mozilla.org, or some other URL that isn't "www.name.com", the browser doesn't do anything. It does work just fine when using bookmarks, the "home" button, drag and drop, and other ways of going somewhere. I am using Win32 trunk build 2001062204 on Windows 2000 Pro SP2.
This is a dup of bug 87243. That bug was fixed. However, in order to experience the fix, you need to go in to prefs and clear *both* history AND locaction bar (both under Navigator --> history in prefs). Someone reopened it because they didn't like having to do the extra clearing of stuff. I don't blame them. Jake *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 87243 ***
