3GP files have 2 different formats: (a) 3GPP (extension = .3gp) for GSM phone. (b) 3GPP2 (extension = .3g2) for CDMA phone. This bug is used to track .3g2 support on CDMA. This one should be not related to RIL. But, in order to track all CDMA bugs, configure this bug to block bug 726098 for now.

according to the RIL triage meeting consensus on 8/22, koi- this issue. for now, there's no plan to support this on 1.2. we may support this for 1.3 or 1.4 along with partner.
