Build: B2G 18 5/29/2013 Device: Unagi STR 1. Lower the device's storage down to 15 MB 2. Go to http://jds2501.github.io/webapi-permissions-tests/largeappcache.html in the browser 3. After downloading is finished, check the application storage Expected Application storage should not go below 5 MB. Additionally, upon hitting the 5 MB limit, the user should be notified that they can no longer write to device storage (low storage theshold was hit). Actual Application storage ends up at 16 KB. Additionally, no low storage warning was present.

On the second try, I got the application storage down to 0 bytes.
Appears to be 1.01 affected as well.

Just for more additional proof: $ adb shell df | grep /data /data 2G 2G 8K 4096 Those columns go - Size, Used, Free. Which means I've got 8 KB left.
And even more proof: Launching the calendar app with 8 KB present causes a whitescreen of death. So yeah, we didn't protect ourselves apparently.
Apparently this only works if bug 866243 is enabled, which is not true for unagi.

Summary: Appcache resources are still downloaded even if the 5 MB device storage threshold is passed → Enable fanotify on unagi kernel
Actually, I can reproduce this bug on inari as well on a 5/29 1.01 build. Let me close this bug and fix what I filed here since I morphed the bug.
