User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:22.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/22.0 (Beta/Release) Build ID: 20130529180817 Steps to reproduce: To reproduce: 1) Register on OpenStreetMaps web site (http://openstreetmap.org) or log in with your existing account. 2) Select Edit menu on top of map and select "Edit with iD" menu item (http://www.openstreetmap.org/edit?editor=id) 3) HTML5 editor will start. If you're new user, it will offer tour over it's features. 4) It's okay just agree to see this tour and follow directions. Or if you're not new to this editor, just go on and zoom to some area to level where you can see streets and can edit small features. 5) Take a look on CPU usage of Firefox. Especially when you scroll map or select some feature to edit it. Actual results: CPU usage of Firefox is horrible on this site. Animations are very slow. It tops single CPU core and overall performance is very slow and appears to be CPU-bound by single CPU core performance. Most notably, map scrolling appears to be VERY slow and hogs CPU. Expected results: Decent handling of featured HTML5 sites like http://www.openstreetmap.org/edit?editor=id I would expect at least 5 times higher speed, especially when it comes to scrolling map. I would also expect much smaller CPU usage.

Could you please try the following, to see if you still reproduce the issue : 1) try this with a clean profile: http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles 2) running in Safe mode: http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode Updating your GPU driver might also help.
comment 2 is unnecessary

Really, it's a duplicate. I've marked it as "verified" since I checked that bug and can confirm my bug is duplicate. And thanks for attempts to help. But, unfortunately, it does not makes real difference for this problem. Firefox is way too slow on this iD OSM editor, even if I use clear profile. I also attempted to try AMD proprietary drivers and Oibaf's updated/optimized drivers for my Xubuntu. It does not makes huge differences and performance remains quite bad in all cases. On other hand, other browsers (e.g. chromium) are perfroming smoothly on this page.
