This could be related to 8783.

If I resize the splitter that is between the threadpane and message pane a bunch
of times and then click on a header, other headers have what looks like
overlapping text displayed.  It almost looks like the text from a different
header has been written on top of that header.

Yes.  I don't see it in the thread pane. But I do in the folder pane.  In fact,
Bug 9107 is preceeded by this bug every time.  So they might be the same
problem.  It's just that if I don't go long enough to make 9107 happen, then
this bug happens.

Sounds like this needs to be fixed for PR1, so I added a note in the Status
