Right now it's just a placeholder. Implement it, and refactor to ____.makes.org

By "refactor" I think you mean "change" :) Low bar: this basically does the same thing as clicking the "Sign In" button. High bar: this is actually a form that lets you customize the domain claim
Summary: "Claim Your Webmaker domain" should initiative login process → "Claim Your Webmaker domain" should initiate login process
so many affronts to english language in my filing
We have final text for this block. <header> The web is still wild. Build it.</header> <smaller text>Claim your webmaker domain </smaller text> ____<imput>.makes.org[sign up]
For what is in header, the idea is that the adjective (wild) could cycle through several adjectives, which are: wild. open. weird. fun. Additionally, the verb in the second sentence (build) could also cycle: Build Hack Create Make These would be on a frequency so that the 2nd verb would modify two adjectives, ie at first would say "web is wild, build it" and "build" would be replaced by "hack", then wild replaced by "open" etc. This is a nice to have. For MVP we can simply use the first combination in comment 1.
So according to jbuck, there is no actual server-side implementation for a user to enter a requested domain for makes.org in a box, submit the box and get.. well, anything. If it is simply just another way for a user to log in, what happens to the box when a user actually logs in? I feel like a user would assume they would then be able to claim a makes.org domain, which isn't possible. This would be pretty confusing to the user. Jbuck suggested a dedicated sign up page on login.wm.org, not sure what you guys think about it.

This "stamped" item in the grid should only appear to users who aren't logged out. Let's not make it a form for now, and instead have it act as another "Sign In" button.

Re-opening. When user are NOT logged in, they don't see this stamp. When they are, they see it. Opposite of intention?
