STR:
- on google, search for hackernews (or github)
- note that the first links are https:// links
- click on link
-> get a page saying "the address isn't valid"
(this doesn't happen w/ http:// search results).
running latest OTA i got today; Boot2Gecko 1.0.1.0-prerelease; last updated 1/5/1980
Oooh, that's likely the problem -- the date is wrong.

(after tweaking the date, the symptom goes away, so I suppose this is a bug about error messages)

I think the date bug is a Keon thing, I had the same problem. The confusing error message is bug 769178 which is fixed in 1.1
